Bone Blade

Bone Blade is a C$2,500,000 rod from the Black Market, and it requires a level to use. It sits alongside Electric Guitar, Nates Blade, Sword of Darkness, Sword of light and Upside-Down Rod, all sold in the same place. It is obtainable and carries a passive.

The numbers are the opposite of a typical Luck rod. Luck is 0, ranking 176th of 184 obtainable rods, and Control is -0.2, 182nd of 185. What it offers instead is Lure Speed 100 (21st of 184), Resilience 100 (5th of 184) and a maximum weight of 1,000,000 kg (7th of 117). In other words, it bites fast, pulls hard and holds almost anything.

That profile has a clear use: you catch fish quickly and rarely lose them, but you do not improve your odds of rare species at all. Several cheaper rods give far more Luck: Avalanche Rod (Luck 68, C$35,000), Arctic Rod (Luck 45, C$25,000) and Abyssal Specter Rod (Luck 90, C$850,000).

Buy it only if you are already high enough in level and want a fast rod for heavy-fish volume. If you hunt rarities, pair it with a high-Luck rod instead, since Luck 0 is the weak side and no price is likely to fix that.
