Fischer's Rod review
The name says it plainly: Fischer's Rod is a starter rod to get going with Fisching, and the wiki's blurb even asks what else you would do with it. It is listed at 99, a price so low that it is meant to be your first purchase, not your last.
The stats back that up. Luck 10 is 174th of 184 obtainable rods, Lure Speed 10 is 171st of 184, Control 0.05 is 112th of 185 and Resilience 5 is 152nd of 184. The weight cap of 100 kg is 108th of 117 rods that list one. Nothing here is broken, but nothing is strong, either.
It is a step above a zero-stat rod: positive Luck, a working Lure Speed and a weight cap that handles small and medium fish. That is enough to learn the reeling minigame without being punished too hard.
Treat it as a bridge. Fish with it until you can afford a rod with real Luck, such as the rods at the top of the ranking, then drop it. The wiki gives no location for it, so check how it is bought before you spend; for something this cheap, the risk is small. Do not invest time trying to squeeze more out of it.
