Kings Rod review
If you are willing to spend C$100,000 at Keeper's Altar, the Kings Rod gives you a passive that makes every fish you catch 30% bigger. That is the whole pitch, and it is a size bonus rather than a rarity bonus.
The stats explain why the price deserves a second look. Its 85 Luck puts it 121st of 184 obtainable rods, and its 30 Lure Speed sits 154th, so it is slow at attracting bites. Control is 0.15 (54th of 185) and Resilience is 35 (41st of 184), which are the better parts of the build.
The cheaper alternatives are the problem. Cinder Block Rod offers 300 Luck for C$50,000, Champions Rod gives 130 Luck for C$90,000 and Carrot Rod gives 125 Luck for C$75,000, all for less money and with more Luck. Choose the Kings Rod only if bigger fish are what you want and you already have the Resilience you need. If your goal is rarer catches or faster bites, spend the C$100,000 elsewhere.
