Champions Rod review
Champions Rod is the best-value rod in the Atlantis shop. It sells for C$90,000 alongside Abyssal Specter Rod, Depthseeker Rod and Tempest Rod, and its stats are balanced: Luck 130, Lure Speed 80, Control 0.25, Resilience 20 and a maximum weight of 100,000 kg. It also lists Disturbance 0 and a Hunt Focus of War Surge.
Rankings back up the balance. Luck is 85th of 184 obtainable rods and Lure Speed is 71st, both in the upper half. Control is 15th of 185, which is excellent, and the 100,000 kg limit is 31st of 117. Resilience is average at 77th.
Compared with Abyssal Specter Rod, it has 40 more Luck and costs about a tenth. The data does show cheaper rods with more Luck: Cinder Block Rod (Luck 300, C$50,000), Cupid's Embrace (Luck 214, C$15,000) and Lucky Rod (Luck 177, C$4,500). Those trade other stats for Luck, though, and Champions Rod does not.
Buy it if you want a rod that does everything adequately and holds heavy fish. If you only care about maximum Luck, look at those three first.
