The Big Shadow Buttercup is the legendary, shadow-skinned counterpart in the Buttercup Quest Event line, and the legendary tag is the key to its economics. Sitting a full rarity step above the rare Big Buttercup, it is harder to obtain but carries a noticeably higher base value per fruit, so the same quest effort converts into a meatier payoff.

Like the rest of the family it is limited and event-locked, not a Sheckle shop purchase, which means there is no seed-cost-versus-sell-price math to run. The cost is your time and quest completion during the event window, and the value is partly economic, partly the prestige of a shadow legendary that cannot be re-farmed afterward. That scarcity is what props up its long-term trade worth.

For mutations, a legendary base rewards stacking more aggressively than a common crop would: layering a weather mutation like Wet or Chilled onto a Golden or Rainbow roll multiplies an already strong value into a genuinely premium harvest. Grow it during the event rather than hoarding the item, and aim to lock in at least one heavily mutated specimen, because once the Buttercup Quest closes this shadow variant is gone for good.
