Steal an Egg Income Calculator

Choose a pet, its color mutation and how heavy it hatched, and get its estimated money per second. It uses the same formula the community wiki documents.
198 pets9 mutations

The wiki marks its own calculator as beta, so treat the result as an estimate: in-game values can differ.

How the income formula works

Every pet has a hidden base weight. Divide the weight shown on its card by that base to get the weight ratio, then:

ratio ≤ 125: $/s = base × ratio^(37/60) × mutation
ratio > 125: $/s = base × ratio^(2/5) × 125^(13/60) × mutation

What the wiki says

Stacking Mutations and Sizes

A pet's weight has a major effect on final income, since size rolls are easier to obtain than rare color mutations.

Final income is calculated by multiplying the base rate by both the color multiplier and the size multiplier:

Final Income = Base Income × Mutation(s) Multiplier × Size Multiplier

To be more specific, each pet has a hidden base weight that correlates with their base income. Any pet under 125x the base weight is valued using this formula:

Money/s= Base Value (Actual Weight/Base Weight)^37/60 Mutation Multiplier(s)

Once a pet is above 125x the secret base weight, the game begins to apply diminishing returns. The formula is as follows:

Money/s= Base Value Mutation Multiplier(s) (Actual Weight/Base Weight)^2/5 125^13/60

This is a complex way to say that when you hatch an egg 100x base weight, you'll get ~17x base value, at 200x base weight it'll be ~23x and at 1000x base weight it'll be ~45x base value. The bigger eggs still continue to be worth more but the gain per kg becomes smaller and smaller.

Combination examples: - Normal: $100/s (base, no mutation) - Golden + Giant: 100 × 2.5 × 3 = $750/s (x7.5 total) - Rainbow + Huge: 100 × 3.5 × 5 = $1,750/s (x17.5 total)
