Measured by base income, the best pet in Steal an Egg is Skeletal Sabertooth at $9B per second. That number comes from the wiki's pet table, which lists 198 pets, and it is the only yardstick this page uses. There are no S or A tiers here: every list is sorted by income per second ($/s), so you can check each position yourself.
Below you'll find the top 25 overall, the top 3 of every rarity and every biome, the best quick-growing egg for each biome when you're still climbing, and an estimate of how much a mutation or a heavy egg can multiply a pet's income.

How this ranking works
Base income from the wiki, not opinion
Every pet has a fixed base income: what it earns per second with no mutation and at its normal weight. We sorted all 198 pets in our full pets list by that value. When two pets earn exactly the same, they share the spot and appear in the wiki's order.
That makes the ranking easy to check, but it also means it ignores how hard a pet is to get. A biome pet you can steal every night and a paid-egg reroll sit in the same table, so read the "Source" column before you set a goal.
Why mutations and size can change the order
The wiki documents the income formula as base income × mutation multiplier × size multiplier. A plain Kitsune makes $1.8B/s, but a Rainbow Kitsune lands around $6.3B/s, almost level with a plain Aetheron. Weight pushes even further, as the last section shows.

Top 3 of every rarity
The game sorts rarities from Common to Divine. Brainrot, Monster and Event are separate families that come from their own eggs and events, so they sit apart at the end.
| Rarity | Pets | #1 | #2 | #3 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Common | 5 | Jerboa ($6/s) | Duckling ($4/s) | Frog ($3/s) |
| Uncommon | 3 | Fennec ($18/s) | Catfish ($12/s) | Bird ($8/s) |
| Rare | 10 | Dodo ($280/s) | Parrotfish ($220/s) | Lava Gecko ($180/s) |
| Epic | 11 | Crane ($4K/s) | Centapede ($1.5K/s) | Swordfish ($1.1K/s) |
| Legendary | 21 | Crustacia ($130K/s) | Eye Bat #021 ($115K/s) | Spideron ($95K/s) |
| Mythic | 23 | Citadel Snail #007 ($12.5M/s) | Toro ($1.25M/s) | Winged Lamb ($1.25M/s) |
| Cosmic | 28 | Three Headed Chicken ($165M/s) | Toucax ($30M/s) | Demon Hound ($25M/s) |
| Secret | 35 | Toxic Hedgehog ($1.75B/s) | Skeletal Giant Sloth ($900M/s) | Ringlord ($825M/s) |
| Eternal | 24 | Skeletal Gigantus ($4B/s) | Luminous Terra Snapper ($2.5B/s) | Skeletal Dunkleosteus ($2.5B/s) |
| Divine | 14 | Skeletal Sabertooth ($9B/s) | Mecha Scrambler ($7.5B/s) | Aetheron ($6.9B/s) |
| Brainrot | 6 | Strawberry Elephant ($110M/s) | Bomboclat Crocolat ($20M/s) | Mangolini Parrochini ($800K/s) |
| Monster | 12 | Mecha Dreadscale ($4B/s) | Dreadscale ($2B/s) | Mecha Krakenoid ($1B/s) |
| Event | 6 | Ember Dragon ($600M/s) | Void Dragon ($120M/s) | Drilla ($100M/s) |
Two things stand out. First, rarity alone doesn't tell you much: the best Mythic (Citadel Snail #007, $12.5M/s) earns more than most Cosmic pets. Second, Divine is the smallest standard tier, with only 14 pets, and it holds 8 of the top 10 spots.
Best pets in every biome
These are the three highest earners you can steal in each biome, next to the Speed you need to enter it. Check the full map on our biomes page.
| Biome | Speed needed | #1 | #2 | #3 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Forest | 0 | Brr Brr Patapim ($1.8K/s) | Bear ($240/s) | Fox ($180/s) |
| Lake | 900 | Leviathan ($220K/s) | Axolotl ($2.8K/s) | Swan ($320/s) |
| Desert | 10K | Royal Sphinx ($280K/s) | Scorpion ($18.5K/s) | Sand Spider ($16K/s) |
| Jungle | 40K | King Snake ($3.5M/s) | Tiger ($28K/s) | Spider ($22K/s) |
| Snow | 170K | Ice Dragon ($65M/s) | Yeti ($5M/s) | King Mammoth ($400K/s) |
| Volcano | 700K | Lava Dragon ($100M/s) | Phoenix ($85M/s) | Cerberus ($8M/s) |
| Abyss Ocean | 2.5M | El Maja ($130M/s) | Kraken ($15M/s) | Beluga Whale ($850K/s) |
| Prehistoric | 18M | Mosasaurus ($180M/s) | Tralaledon ($32M/s) | T-Rex ($25M/s) |
| Cosmic | 700M | Unicorn ($1B/s) | Eternal Lunar Dragon ($250M/s) | Cosmic Dragon ($60M/s) |
| Cherry Blossom | 2.5B | Kitsune ($1.8B/s) | Oni Tiger ($600M/s) | Stag ($145M/s) |
| Titan Temple | 7B | Nightflame ($3B/s) | Gorilla King ($880M/s) | Mutant Shark ($215M/s) |
| Angels & Demons | 20B | Aetheron ($6.9B/s) | ArchAngel ($5B/s) | World Burner ($5B/s) |

The jump between biomes is huge. Lake's top pet, Leviathan, earns $220K/s, while Cosmic's Unicorn already makes $1B/s. That's why reaching the next biome usually beats grinding the current one.

Best picks when you're starting out
The top egg in a biome often takes a long time to grow: Leviathan needs 25 minutes and King Snake 1h 30m. While you're still building income, eggs that are ready in 5 minutes or less pay you back sooner. This table shows the highest earner among those quick eggs in each biome.
| Biome | Best egg of 5 min or less | Income | Grow time | Hatch reward |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Forest | Brr Brr Patapim | $1.8K/s | 5m | +1K Speed, $180K |
| Lake | Axolotl | $2.8K/s | 5m | +4K Speed, $280K |
| Desert | Scorpion | $18.5K/s | 5m | not listed |
| Jungle | Spider | $22K/s | 4m 30s | +12.6K Speed, $2.2M |
| Snow | Mammoth | $42K/s | 5m | +19.2K Speed, $4.2M |
| Volcano | Lava Iguana | $11K/s | 4m | +36K Speed, $1.1M |
| Abyss Ocean | Shark | $15K/s | 4m | +90K Speed, $1.5M |
| Prehistoric | Ankylosaurus | $120K/s | 5m | +330K Speed, $12M |
| Cosmic | Cosmic Gecko | $30K/s | 4m | +1M Speed, $3M |
| Cherry Blossom | Salamander | $74K/s | 5m | +3M Speed, $7.4M |
| Titan Temple | Spideron | $95K/s | 4m | +2.7M Speed, $13M |
In Angels & Demons the wiki only lists grow times for a few eggs, so it's left out of this table.

Best pets from special eggs
Special eggs don't spawn in normal biome nests. Our eggs list shows every one of them; here is the best pet in each.
| Egg | Pets | Best pet | Rarity | Income | Runner-up |

| Skeletal Egg | 10 | Skeletal Sabertooth | Divine | $9B/s | Skeletal Gigantus ($4B/s) |
| Extinction Egg | 2 | Sabertooth | Divine | $5B/s | Glyptodon ($22.5K/s) |
| Luminous Reroll Egg | 6 | Luminous Cthulhu | Divine | $6.5B/s | Luminous Terra Snapper ($2.5B/s) |
| Luminous Egg | 6 | Cthulhu | Divine | $3B/s | Terra Snapper ($750M/s) |
| Mecha Egg | 6 | Mecha Dreadscale | Monster | $4B/s | Mecha Krakenoid ($1B/s) |
| Monster Egg | 6 | Dreadscale | Monster | $2B/s | Krakenoid ($500M/s) |
| Unstable Egg | 5 | Octophant | Divine | $4B/s | Rhinobear ($1B/s) |
| Experimental Egg | 5 | Dreadstinger | Eternal | $2B/s | Eyeball Crab ($825M/s) |
| Biohazard Egg | 5 | Nuclear Mantis | Eternal | $1.5B/s | Nuceodile ($500M/s) |
| Brainrot Egg | 6 | Strawberry Elephant | Brainrot | $110M/s | Bomboclat Crocolat ($20M/s) |
Skeletal and Extinction
Update 6 added the Extinction Egg, a paid egg, and each hatch has a small chance to reroll into a skeletal version. The wiki doesn't give that chance. Skeletal Sabertooth is the reroll of Sabertooth ($5B/s), which is why it tops the whole game.
Luminous and Luminous Reroll
Each Luminous Egg hatch has a 1% chance of turning into the Luminous version of the pet. Luminous Cthulhu ($6.5B/s) is the reroll of Cthulhu ($3B/s).
Mecha and Monster
Every Monster Egg pet has a rare Mecha variant. Mecha Dreadscale earns $4B/s, double the regular Dreadscale.
Laboratory eggs
Unstable, Experimental and Biohazard eggs come from Dr. Scramble's Laboratory. Octophant (Unstable, $4B/s) is the best of the three groups.
Best Rift and event pets
The Rift has 16 pets, and Shattered Colossus is its only Divine at $3.5B/s. A permanent Rift in the lobby asks for 3 random pets and gives 1 exclusive Rift Egg in return, and its banner rotates about every 3 hours. Details are on the Rift Event page.

Event pets are led by Mecha Scrambler ($7.5B/s), a secret drop with a 0.5% chance each time you beat Dr. Scramble. At 0.5% you need 200 kills on average for one drop. Pink Dragon Experiment #010 ($2.5B/s) and Toxic Hedgehog ($1.75B/s) complete the event top 3.
Pets you can steal vs pets you get other ways
Out of 198 pets, 106 come from biome nests, 57 from special eggs, 17 from events, 16 from the Rift and 2 have no confirmed source yet.
- Best pet you can steal: Aetheron, $6.9B/s, one of the three guardians of Angels & Demons. Its egg grows for 18 hours. Read more on the Aetheron page.
- Best biome pet with full data: Nightflame, $3B/s, egg grows 16h and pays +6.8M Speed and $300B when it hatches.
- Best overall: Skeletal Sabertooth, $9B/s, but you need a paid egg plus a reroll whose odds the wiki doesn't publish.
How a mutation or a heavy egg changes the ranking
Mutations multiply income. Here is every mutation the wiki lists, with the hatch roll weight where it is documented (out of 100).
| Mutation | Income multiplier | Hatch roll weight |
|---|---|---|
| Rainbow | ×3.5 | 1/100 |
| Parasite | ×3 | special source |
| Fractured | ×2.75 | special source |
| Scrambled | ×2.75 | special source |
| Golden | ×2.5 | 4/100 |
| Spirit Bloom | ×2.5 | special source |
| Bloom | ×1.25 | special source |
| Silver | ×1.2 | 6/100 |

Weight matters too. According to the formula the wiki documents, a pet up to 125 times its base weight earns base × (weight ratio)^37/60. Past that point returns shrink. In practice, 10× the base weight gives about 4.1× income, 100× gives about 17×, and 200× gives about 24×. Mutation and weight then multiply together.
| Pet | Base | Golden ×2.5 | Rainbow ×3.5 | 100× weight | Rainbow + 100× weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brr Brr Patapim | $1.8K | $4.5K | $6.3K | $30.8K | $108K |
| Leviathan | $220K | $550K | $770K | $3.76M | $13.2M |
| King Snake | $3.5M | $8.75M | $12.2M | $59.9M | $210M |
| Unicorn | $1B | $2.5B | $3.5B | $17.1B | $59.9B |
| Kitsune | $1.8B | $4.5B | $6.3B | $30.8B | $108B |
| Aetheron | $6.9B | $17.2B | $24.1B | $118B | $413B |
| Skeletal Sabertooth | $9B | $22.5B | $31.5B | $154B | $539B |
The table shows why the base ranking is only a starting point. A Rainbow Kitsune at 100× weight (about $108B/s) would out-earn a plain Skeletal Sabertooth twelve times over.
