Ostrich guide
Ostrich is the one pet in this group whose entry says something about where it comes from. The wiki's egg field reads "First time Racing Event reward", so the first completion of that event seems to hand the egg out. The Racing Event page itself, though, contains only a banner at the time of writing, so details such as requirements or dates are not documented.
It is a Secret earning $2.145M/s, which is 47th of 51 Secrets and well under the $250M/s median. Amethyst Runebear ($1.95M/s) sits below it and Midnight Mimic ($2.345M/s) above it. No hatch reward, grow time or base weight is recorded.
For a pet you get as a one-off reward, the mutation values are modest but notable. Silver would give about $2.57M/s, Golden $5.36M/s and Rainbow $7.51M/s. That Rainbow figure lands exactly on the Cosmic median of $7.5M/s. Compare it with Race Cheetah, a Secret from the same family of names that earns $250M/s, over a hundred times as much.
