Steal an Egg Secret Shrine: Equinox and Aetheron Fusion Recipes

Guide
By RBLXGUIDESunday, October 11, 202610 min read

Quick Summary

The two confirmed Secret Shrine recipes, every Light and Darkness pet of Angels & Demons with real stats, and the income math on whether fusing pays off.

The Secret Shrine is the only place in Steal an Egg where the wiki confirms you can fuse two pets into a new one. It sits somewhere inside the Angels & Demons biome and has two known recipes: Equinox and Aetheron. This page covers both recipes, every ingredient with its real stats, and the income math that tells you whether fusing is worth it.

Our data comes from the Steal an Egg Wiki and the official update notes. Where the wiki does not confirm something, such as the exact path to the shrine, we say so instead of guessing.

What the Secret Shrine is

The shrine arrived with Update 4, "Angels vs Demons". That update added a new biome, 16 new animals, a secret shrine and a new egg. The official note was short: the Demons have been whispering about a secret shrine hidden somewhere in the biome, and you have to find it.

The wiki then explained what it does. The shrine lets you craft two fusion pets by combining one Light pet with its Darkness counterpart of the same rarity.

Hidden in the Angels & Demons biome (20B Speed)

Angels & Demons needs 20B Speed to enter. It is the second highest biome right now, after the Enchanted Forest (50B). The wiki lists ArchAngel, World Burner and Aetheron as the guardians of this zone.

Light nights and Darkness nights

This biome changes every night. According to the wiki, it shifts to an Angel (Light) theme or a Demon (Darkness) theme, and each one has its own set of 8 pets to steal. You cannot steal Light and Darkness pets in the same night unless the rare Merged form shows up (more on that below).

This matters for fusion. Each recipe needs one pet from each side, so you need at least two different nights to collect both ingredients.

The two fusion recipes

Both recipes pair the strongest pets of each side. The wiki lists only these two.

Pegasus ($1.3B/s)Skeleton Horse ($1.3B/s)EternalEquinox (Eternal)$1.8B/s
ArchAngel ($5B/s)World Burner ($5B/s)DivineAetheron (Divine)$6.9B/s

Equinox = Pegasus + Skeleton Horse

Equinox is an Eternal pet with a base income of $1.8B/s. You make it from the two Eternal pets of the biome: Pegasus from the Light side and Skeleton Horse from the Darkness side.

Equinox: Eternal, $1.8B/s

The wiki also lists an Equinox Egg with a grow time of 10 hours. It does not say whether the shrine gives you that egg or the finished pet, and it lists no egg reward (Speed or cash) for Equinox.

Aetheron = ArchAngel + World Burner

Aetheron is a Divine pet with a base income of $6.9B/s, the highest base income in this biome. You make it from the two Divine pets: ArchAngel (Light) and World Burner (Darkness).

The wiki lists an Aetheron Egg with an 18 hour grow time. Like Equinox, there is no documented egg reward.

Is fusing worth it? The income math

A fusion combines two pets into one. That means you give up both ingredients. The question is simple: does one fusion pet earn more than the two pets you used?

Two pets in, one pet out

Using base incomes (no size or mutation), here is the result:

RecipeIncome of both ingredientsIncome of the resultChange in total $/sIncome per pen slot
Pegasus + Skeleton Horse → Equinox$2.6B/s (2 slots)$1.8B/s (1 slot)−$0.8B/s$1.3B → $1.8B
ArchAngel + World Burner → Aetheron$10B/s (2 slots)$6.9B/s (1 slot)−$3.1B/s$5B → $6.9B

If you only look at total money, fusing loses income. Two Eternal horses earn $2.6B/s together, while Equinox earns $1.8B/s. Two Divines earn $10B/s, while Aetheron earns $6.9B/s.

Pen space vs total $/s

The picture changes when your pen is full. Each fusion frees one slot, and income per slot goes up by about 38% in both recipes ($1.3B to $1.8B, and $5B to $6.9B).

So fusing pays off only if you put something good in the free slot:

  • Equinox: the freed slot must hold a pet earning more than $0.8B/s to come out ahead. Kitsune ($1.8B/s) or Gorilla King ($880M/s) would do it.
  • Aetheron: the freed slot must earn more than $3.1B/s. Nightflame ($3B/s) falls just short, so you would need another Divine like ArchAngel or World Burner, or a big mutated pet.

There is another reason to fuse: collecting. The wiki lists the shrine as the way to get Equinox and Aetheron, and some players want them for the index. That is a fine reason, just know the cost.

Getting the ingredients

All four ingredients come from Angels & Demons eggs. Eggs in every biome reset every 5 minutes, so if the egg you need is not there, wait for the next reset. Remember that Light pets only spawn on Light nights and Darkness pets on Darkness nights.

Grow times and egg rewards

Look at the two sides together and a pattern appears. Every Light pet has a Darkness twin with the same rarity and the same income: Light Dove and Flame Sprite both make $225/s, Pegasus and Skeleton Horse both make $1.3B/s, ArchAngel and World Burner both make $5B/s. That is why the shrine pairs them.

The rewards are almost identical too. Pegasus gives +200M Speed and $140B, while Skeleton Horse gives +200M Speed and $130B. Both Eternal eggs take 5 hours to grow. The Divine eggs have no documented grow time or reward yet.

A plan that uses this data:

  1. 1Reach 20B Speed so you can enter Angels & Demons.
  2. 2On a Light night, steal a Pegasus egg (or ArchAngel) and let it grow in your pen.
  3. 3On a Darkness night, steal the twin: Skeleton Horse (or World Burner).
  4. 4Find the Secret Shrine inside the biome and combine the pair.
  5. 5Use the freed pen slot for your next best pet.

Lower-rarity pets from this biome also have a use. Dr. Scramble's Laboratory has an "Unstable DNA" banner that asks for Angels & Demons pets from Light Dove and Flame Sprite up to Gargoyle and Pure Jellyfish. See the Laboratory page for how the trade-in works.

The secret Merged form

Sometimes the biome does not pick a side. The wiki and the Update 4 notes say there is a rare chance for a secret Merged form to appear. It combines both Angels and Demons and gives extra luck while it is active.

For fusion players, this is the best night to be online, because both sides are present. Our sources do not say how often it happens, how long it lasts or exactly how much luck it adds.

The hidden fusion machine from Update 7

Update 7, "Enchanted Forest", released on October 3–4, 2026, listed two "hidden secrets" in its official notes: a secret musical band and a hidden fusion machine.

That is all we can confirm. The machine exists according to Update 7, but its recipes, location and results are not documented by the wiki or the notes yet. The Enchanted Forest needs 50B Speed, and its 8 pets do not have confirmed stats either. We will add the machine's recipes once there is a reliable source.

Key Takeaways

  • Steal eggs from guarded nests, hatch them in your pen and let your pets earn cash every second.
  • Train Speed on treadmills to reach farther biomes with rarer eggs.
  • Mutations and a pet's size multiply how much it earns.
  • Events like the Rift give rewards you can't get from regular nests.
