How to get Hero Hunter (Monster Form)

Infobox says Free. Unlock it by clicking the star next to the Hero Hunter icon in the character menu and selecting the dropdown icon; the Characters page says there are no proficiency requirements despite community rumors.

Passives

Cosmic Radiation

Area AOE: while in Cosmic Form the user emits radiation that deals 2 damage per second to nearby players but never lowers them below 4 health. When the awakening runs out, the Cosmic Form energy overwhelms the user and kills them.

Feral Strikes

Listed in the infobox as a passive; it is the M1 set, identical to Hero Hunter's but with a crimson blood-like trail.

Base moves

M1 Feral Strikes β€” Same animations and mechanics as Hero Hunter's M1s but with a crimson blood-like trail; the fourth hit causes diagonal knockback and the final hit still launches upward for a Twisted Tech. The red trail is removed in Cosmic Form.

  • 1Doom Dive

A use-thrice move: the first use leaps backward, the second dives diagonally into the ground with knockback and ragdoll, and on a hit a third use can follow.

    • Can't be blocked
    • Can be countered
    • Can hit ragdolled targets
    • Final use rolls ragdolled targets if grounded
    • Each extra use has a timing window around the peak of the leap
    • Can be interrupted
12.6% or 22.6%, depending on the enemy condition (grounded or not); 8% (first kick), 4.6% (second kick, extra 10% if the opponent isn't grounded)CD 25 seconds
  • 2Crowd Buster

A wild dash and two lunges; if one connects, the user grabs the target, leaps and slams them three times, ending with a ragdoll.

    • Armor on successful grab
    • Can be blocked (must face the move)
    • Mid-short endlag if blocked, short endlag if missed
    • AoE can be blocked to reduce damage and avoid ragdoll (only facing the attacker)
    • Can grab ragdolled players
    • Can be countered (Prey's Peril, Split Second Counter)
    • AoE created for each bounce
    18%; 21% (7% first slam + 6% second slam + 8% third slam) (AoE; slam damage reduced to 2% if blocked)CD 22 seconds
  • 3Hammer Heel

A kick to the left that makes the target bounce twice and roll backward, damaging anyone they collide with.

    • Can hit ragdolled targets
    • Can't be blocked
    • Poor reach and slow wind-up but safe on miss
    • Hitting a solid object stops the roll
    • 2% more damage for each person hit, no limit
    • Crimson Whirl Β· 13% - 17% (13% if thrown close to the user, 17% if thrown far); 10% (AoE) β€” Air variant of Hammer Heel: an upward kick and uppercut, then a spinning vertical throw that ragdolls the target. Armor on successful grab, throw angle can be aimed, first hit blockable and second not, AoE can be blocked to prevent ragdoll. Shares the 20 seconds cooldown (rowspan in the table).
9%; + up to 3% (triggered by hitting a third player, trashcan, tree or wall, depends on distance); AoE: 7% (target colliding with a bystander) and 8% (crater), individualCD 20 seconds
  • 4Binding Cloth

The user swings a cloth to pull the target in, hits them with punches and kicks, then pulls them with the cloth and slams them into the ground.

    • Can be blocked
    • Can hit ragdolled targets but can't hit grounded players
    • Can be countered
    • Armor on successful grab
    • The AoE does more damage than the move itself and can't be blocked
    • Medium end-lag if missed, short range
    13%; 23% (14% first two hits + 9% final slam) (AoE)CD 20 seconds

Awakening

G Limit Breaker

Meter: Standard 350 damage points (the wiki gives 350 as the default for every character except The Strongest Hero and Brutal Demon; no Monster Form-specific value is stated)

Duration: 50 seconds (Limit Breaker); Cosmic Form 29 seconds

Limit Breaker (57% on the page, N/A cooldown): the user roars to stun nearby players, sprints, slashes and leaps with a huge impact; the roar, slashes and slam break armor and drag enemies. Landing Hunter's Mark and then God Slayer on the marked target (the Mark variant, Apex Execution) unlocks Cosmic Form (15% on activation, 29 seconds) on the next awakening; it grants Nuclear Fission, Singularity and Gamma Ray Burst, but when it ends the user dies.

About Hero Hunter (Monster Form)

There is nothing to buy and no level to reach: you unlock Hero Hunter's Monster Form by clicking the star next to the Hero Hunter icon in the character menu and choosing the dropdown icon. The wiki says there are no proficiency requirements despite community rumors, and the infobox lists it as free, though one line on the Characters page words that exception differently. It is based on Garou's Monster Form, was added on May 24 2025, and the wiki calls it the first Mastery character.

Its four base moves are Doom Dive (12.6% or 22.6% depending on whether the target is grounded, 25 seconds, usable three times in a row), Crowd Buster (18%, 22 seconds), Hammer Heel (9%, 20 seconds) and Binding Cloth (13%, 20 seconds). The wiki says Doom Dive and Hammer Heel extend combos, and that long wind-ups and the precision it demands make it hard for beginners. The basic moveset adds up to 60.6 damage, which the wiki lists among its weaknesses.

Limit Breaker, the awakening, lasts 50 seconds and gives Hunter's Mark (47%), Great Fajin (25%, or 50% fully charged), God Slayer (53%) and Sky Ripping Fist (49.7%). Using God Slayer on a marked target unlocks Cosmic Form on the next awakening, with Nuclear Fission, Singularity (71.1%) and Gamma Ray Burst, but the user dies when its 29 seconds run out. The wiki page is still marked as a stub, so numbers may change.

What the wiki notes

  • Secondary character (sub-character) of Hero Hunter and the first Mastery character; the wiki marks the page as a Stub/WIP.
  • Good at both short and long range with strong mobility and AoE damage, which the wiki calls excellent against teams.
  • Doom Dive is the first 'use thrice' move and Doom Dive and Hammer Heel are the combo extenders; the wiki says it has the first theoretically infinite base-moveset combo.
  • Only Cosmic Form moves cannot be countered; every other move can be.
  • Cosmic Form ends in death when its duration runs out, and its radiation passive damages nearby players over time.
  • Wiki says it has the most base moves of any character (12, or 13 counting variants) because Cosmic Form is an ultimate within an ultimate.
  • Finisher thresholds: Doom Dive (Crimson Rebound) 15%, Crowd Buster (Hunters Onslaught) 27%, Hammer Heel (Merciless Rupture) 16%, Crimson Whirl (Titan Crusher) 16%; Binding Cloth has no finisher.
  • Weaknesses stated: long wind-ups, precision needed, ping and terrain issues, low base-move damage (second-lowest total base damage, ahead of only Wild Psychic).

Hero Hunter (Monster Form) techs

All 13 techs β†’

Where the wiki disagrees

  • Limit Breaker damage: this page shows 57% (and the Pros list says it deals the most awakening damage at 57%), the Awakening page shows 38.3%.
  • Cosmic Form move list: the Characters page lists Nuclear Fission, Singularity, Gamma Ray Burst and Great Fajin (4th), but the page's Cosmic Form table has only three move rows (the first two identified by title images as Nuclear Fission and Singularity, the third has no name in the table) and Great Fajin is documented under Limit Breaker. The Updates page (May 17 2026) only lists Nuclear Fission and Singularity as Cosmic moves; Gamma Ray Burst is named only on the Characters page and in the Cons list. The trivia says the character has 12 base moves, which would fit 4 cosmic moves.
  • Cooldowns: Nuclear Fission shows '-23 seconds' (likely a typo for ~23) and Gamma Ray Burst shows 'TBA seconds'; Singularity's table cell says 'Duration: 28 seconds' beside a ~29 seconds cooldown while Cosmic Form duration is 29 seconds.
  • Singularity: the table says it cannot be blocked, but the Trivia says blocking it makes you take 69.9% instead of 71.1%.
  • Obtainability: infobox says Free, but the Characters page says all listed characters are free 'with the exception, of course, of the Hero Hunter's Monster Form' while also saying it has no proficiency requirement and is unlocked via the star icon.
  • Doom Dive damage tooltip in the source is malformed (its text is in a parameter without a name); the damage text above was reconstructed from that breakdown, which is internally consistent (8% + 4.6% = 12.6%, +10% = 22.6%).
  • Counters: Cons say all moves can be countered except Cosmic Form moves, while Pros say all moves have AoE that cannot be countered or blocked; Trivia says Hammer Heel (both variants) bypassed all counters on May 24 but can now be countered.
  • Updates calls the Binding Cloth finisher entry 'Blinding Cloth' (June 15 2025) and Crimson Whirl appears as 'Crimson Wheel' in the Updates and trivia.
  • Awakening meter: no Monster Form-specific value; 350 is the default stated on The Strongest Hero page.
