The Metalworking badge is a 2-star crafting grind that rewards 5 diamonds. The requirement is to make the Ammo Furnace produce 50 ammo boxes by feeding any Fuel into it. The star rating comes not from danger but from the sheer fuel demand, since fifty boxes means you must keep the furnace running across a large stretch of the run.

The key is a constant fuel supply. The furnace accepts any fuel, so chop wood aggressively and toss in whatever burnable resources you can spare rather than hoarding them. Set up a routine: every time you pass camp after gathering, top off the furnace so it never sits idle. Because production happens over time, an idle furnace is wasted progress.

This badge pairs perfectly with normal play, since the ammo boxes you produce feed firearms used for Infiltration and general defense, so nothing is wasted. The main pitfall is forgetting to refuel during long expeditions, letting the furnace stall. If you play with a group, assign one teammate to fuel duty while others gather, and the 50 boxes will tick up quickly toward the 5-diamond payout.
