The Kiwi is a Passive Entity and a small flightless bird added in the Taming Update, and it sits at the opposite end of the danger scale from anything that can hurt you. Its most telling stat is its infinite HP — listed literally as endless — which signals that it is not meant to be fought or killed at all. There is no damage value on it, so it will never harm you, and it has no place on your list of combat threats.

What makes the Kiwi worth knowing is that it is a tameable companion rather than prey. With a behavior flagged as Passive, it will not flee aggressively or retaliate, and you can win it over for just a single Berry using the taming system. That makes it one of the cheapest and most beginner-friendly pets in the game, ideal for early runs when you have little to spare.

Because it lists no drops, do not approach the Kiwi expecting meat or materials — its value is purely as a tamed follower and a bit of charm in your camp. Carry a Berry, tame it when you spot one, and enjoy a low-cost companion that costs you nothing in combat risk.
