About
The Frog King is the boss creature from the 'Frog Invasion' update. You can find him upon entering Frog Cave, where he guards a Frog Chest. Upon death, the Frog King will spawn two Purple Frogs, which will spawn two Blue Frogs each upon their own death, and then two Green Frogs upon theirs. The Frog King is the main enemy of the Frog Cave and the 'Frog Invasion' update.

Frog King — In-Depth Analysis
The Frog King is a boss, the centrepiece of the Frog Invasion update, and you should approach him with full gear rather than stumbling in unprepared. He is Hostile and notably mobile, hopping around at a high walkspeed of 24, which makes him hard to kite and quick to close gaps. You will find him inside the Frog Cave, where he guards a Frog Chest, so beating him is also the gate to that reward.
His real danger is what happens after you drop him. On death the Frog King spawns two Purple Frogs, and each of those splits into two Blue Frogs, which in turn each spawn two Green Frogs. That cascading split means a careless kill can leave you swarmed by a wave of smaller frogs the moment the boss falls, so clear space and keep your health topped up before the final blow.
Fight him in an open part of the cave so the spawned frogs cannot pin you in a corner, and bring a weapon with reach to deal with the swarm as it cascades down in size. As the main enemy of the Frog Cave and the whole event, he is the key obstacle between you and the Frog Chest loot.
