Bee Biome — In-Depth Analysis

The Bee Biome is a mini biome added to 99 Nights in the Forest on the 25th of July, 2026. You choose it manually in the Mini Biome selection while creating a party in the lobby, and it is listed for Campfire level 2 and above. Its inhabitants are passive Bee mobs, plus Wolf and Alpha Wolf, and it also has a Beekeeper NPC and interactable hives. It is best known for introducing Honeycombs, which can be farmed through Bee Boxes.

Like the Fairy Biome, any structure that can spawn in the Forest Biome can also appear here, including child caves, playgrounds and cultist circles. The biome is easy to recognize from a distance by its lime-colored grass and its orange and yellow trees. Birch trees are the main type: nearly identical to regular trees but with subtle grey stripes on the trunk, pale wood and light yellow leaves; breaking one drops 3 pale logs and a Birch Sapling that can be replanted. Hive trees are larger, have branches and exclusively orange leaves, and they are the only trees that can spawn hives. Listed buildings are the Beekeeper's House and the Giant Hive.

Bees wander aimlessly, sometimes idling at flowers or hives. If you attack one it turns hostile and chases you until you die or leave its detection radius. Bees can also fight tamed pets and can be tamed themselves. They drop only Honeycombs and Morsels and respawn the next day, and upgrading hives with flowers makes more bees fly in and out to create honey.
