They spawn within close proximity of one another, making them rather powerful. These Enemies are unique, since they possess the ability to use the same abilities almost up to seven times in a row with rapid succession, making them very tedious to take down.

Combat Tips

  • The player can use Buddha and spam [M1] attacks.
  • The player can use the "[M1] hit-dash strategy" if they do not have a good stun.
  • The player should try to attack while in the air, as their ability to use the same moves multiple times, especially Quake's [C], which can cause severe knockback, resulting in major time loss.
  • Dragonstorm’s M1 are highly effective.
  • Due to their nature of using abilities multiple times, the ones using Light's [C] often become invisible, making them very annoying to fight, however they can still be hurt. ==Trivia== thumb|An image of a Buddha Red Legionnaire using Buddha’s .

Red Legionnaire Strategy & Best Use

The Red Legionnaire is an elite soldier boss in the First Sea military hierarchy, engaging players at around level 350. Despite being a lower-level boss by later-game standards, he is a formidable challenge in his tier due to his exceptional attack speed and defensive shield ability. The Red Legionnaire periodically raises a shield that blocks all incoming damage for several seconds — a mechanic players must learn to work around, typically by waiting for the shield drop before committing high-damage combos.

Patience is the most important virtue when fighting the Red Legionnaire. Attempting to damage through the shield wastes cooldowns and positions players dangerously close to his counter-strike, which automatically triggers when the shield absorbs attacks. Waiting for the shield to lower, then immediately unleashing a full combo before he raises it again, is the optimal loop. Players with abilities that can destroy or bypass shields — certain high-damage Fruit moves — can shortcut this cycle significantly.

Red Legionnaire's drops include early First Sea accessories with defensive stat bonuses, making them attractive for tanky builds in the level 300–450 range. He also yields consistent EXP appropriate for his level, and his spawn location is convenient relative to several First Sea quest hubs. Farming him teaches a fundamental game mechanic — shield-breaking combat patterns — that remains relevant in higher-level content where shield-type enemies become more prevalent.
