Participation Award

Participation Award raises how often Skill Checks appear and pays for it with a smaller window. Chance goes up 25% and size goes down 10%, so a 5-star Toon's 250 units become 225, a 3-star Toon's 150 become 135, and a 1-star Toon falls from 50 to 45. A roll happens each second while you work a machine and every hit adds progress, so a higher chance means more hits per machine if you keep landing them.

That is a bet on accuracy, which makes the widest windows its natural home: Shelly, Gigi, Waxwell, Gourdy and Soulvester all sit at 5 stars of Skill Check. It is a poor match for Blot, Cosmo or Shrimpo, who would see more checks with less room to hit them. After a success there is a 4-second cooldown on default and circle machines (4.8 on Treadmill), which limits how quickly the extra chance can pay off.

Research is on Twisted Shelly, a Main Twisted. Mains start at spawn weight 0, are forced once every 20 floors and gain 4 weight per 5 floors from floor 5, so this unlock is slower than most. It debuted on July 12, 2024, costs no Ichor and is available now.
