Multitool guide
The Multitool packs a pair of lockpicks on one end and tiny shear blades on the other, in a red and white body that looks like a Swiss Army knife. It does the work of both the Lockpick and the Shears, so one slot covers locked doors, locked chests and vine-covered chests. It arrived with The Great Outdoors Update.
Jeff sells it in The Mines for 500 Gold, tied with the Crucifix as the most expensive item in his shop. Louie is the other source, and he may drop it when traded a Bandage Pack, Battery Pack, Flashlight, Vitamins, Lockpick, Shears, Donut or Laser Pointer.
Durability
It has 20 collective uses, far more than five for the Shears. The catch the wiki records is that copies from Jeff or Louie always come missing 5 durability, and you need a Glitch Fragment or a Starlight Jug to recharge it.
Compared with the originals
- It opens crypts without an Iron Key.
- It cannot replace a fuse in a Generator, which the Lockpick can.
- It only appears in The Mines and is somewhat rare.
