Crucifix guide

A Crucifix is a single use, and what it does with that use is chain an entity to the floor and drag it under. The item levitates out of your hand, glowing blue cracks form on it, and Guiding Light's crescent appears on the ground while a blue fog pulls the entity away. It costs 500 Gold at Jeff's Shop, where the wiki gives it a 60% chance of being on sale in The Hotel. In the Halloween Spotlight Pre-Run Shop it costs 300 Knobs, and before SUPER HARD MODE it was 250 Gold. You can also find it in containers, on bedroom walls and above doors.

What it can banish

Eyes, Screech, Rush, Ambush, Giggle, Gloombats, Halt, Hide, Sally, Dread, Void, the Backdoor entities, Grumble, Dupe and Louie. Figure, Seek and Queen Grumble are only stunned for a while; red glowing chains show they are breaking free. Timothy is smacked away and you keep the item. Snare, Jack, Jeff and El Goblino are unaffected.

Special cases

  • On Portrait it drops a Pocket Mirror.
  • In The Archives, The Stairwell, The Outdoors and The Backdoor it "feels lighter than normal".
  • The wiki suggests saving it for The Greenhouse.
