Shakelight guide

The Shakelight is a flashlight that never needs batteries, only your arm. It holds 10.5 seconds of fuel across four bars of 2.625 seconds, and each shake adds back 1.5 seconds, so you recharge it by shaking over and over. That recharge can be repeated infinitely.

It costs 10 Gold, sold in the first room of The Rooms vision and in Shakelight Vending Machines in The Archives. Jeff's Shop stocks it for 250 Gold only in SUPER HARD MODE and the 2024 event, and the Prize Inside candy of Trick Or Treat can occasionally hand one out.

What it gets you

It emits a dim green beam, dimmer than the Flashlight, and it cannot be turned off. The upside is a long directional reach that does not flicker, works underwater, and can stun Giggle. It does not attract A-90 while you shake it.

What it costs you

  • Fuel drains very quickly and the beam dims as it empties.
  • The shaking is loud: Figure hears it, and it can mask the sounds of A-60 and A-120.
  • Gloombats attack while it is on, so unequip it to be safe.
  • The wiki advises using it as a secondary light and keeping a regular Flashlight in The Rooms, where batteries are plentiful.
