Colossal Ancient Dragon
“Its worn fins are etched with cracks like old stone, and barnacle-like growth glimmer faintly across its body. Said to have drifted through the currents since before the first sailors, it moves with dignity; a relic of an ocean that has long forgotten its age.”— in-game Bestiary description

Colossal Ancient Dragon guide
Few fish weigh as much as the Colossal Ancient Dragon. This Exotic Hunt fish lives in the Crimson Cavern and takes Shark Head as bait in Clear weather during Spring or Summer. The wiki describes worn fins etched with cracks like old stone and barnacle-like growth glimmering across its body, a relic of an ocean that has forgotten its age.
The figures match the legend. It averages 250,000 kg, with a range from 100,000 kg to 840,000 kg, and its maximum ranks 23rd of the 663 fish with a recorded top weight. At C$0.625 per kg the average value reaches C$156,250, 17th of the 742 documented fish. Catching one also pays 600,000 base XP.
Lithodes Megacantha shares its Exotic rarity in the cavern. Four rods are sold in the zone: Evil Pitchfork, Scarlet Spincaster Rod, Ruinous Oath and Wicked Fang Rod, which gives you plenty of options for building a setup before you go. This is an endgame target. If you have strong gear and can handle the seasonal window and Shark Head, a single catch is worth more than hundreds of ordinary fish, and the sale price alone is a top-20 result among the 742 documented fish.
