Doctorfish Tang guide
Doctorfish Tang is an Extinct fish from Gilded Arch that is now flagged Unobtainable. When it could be caught, the wiki says it took Shrimp in clear summer daylight, and it was described as a diligent grazer scraping algae from sunlit rocks. It weighed 3 kg to 18.9 kg, averaging 6 kg.
Its worth was modest. At about C$22.222 per kg it averaged C$133.3, 550th of 742 documented fish by value, while the 18.9 kg maximum is 409th of 663 by weight. Base XP was 100. That is a few steps above the very cheapest fish, but still not a prize.
Sergeant Major is the other Extinct fish documented in Gilded Arch. The entry lists no rod for the zone. Because the Doctorfish Tang can no longer be obtained, the practical advice is short: do not plan around it, and do not pay anyone for one. Use it as a reference for what an Extinct mid-weight reef fish was worth, and put your effort into fish you can still reel in.
