Flamekissed Hawkfish guide

Flamekissed Hawkfish is a Common fish from Castaway Cliffs, so expect to see it often. The listed conditions are Bagel bait, Night, Windy weather and Autumn, which is more specific than the rarity suggests.

It is a small fish by every measure. Weights run from 4 kg to 7 kg with an average of 5 kg, and an average sale is just C$35. That value ranks 681 of the 742 documented fish, deep in the lower end, and its maximum weight ranks 507 of 663. A catch gives 90 base XP, a decent amount for how little it sells for.

Clowned Triggerfish is the only other Common fish documented in the same zone, and Castaway Cliffs sells Rainbow Cluster Rod, which is the rod to look at if you plan to fish there often. The takeaway: do not rearrange a session around the hawkfish, since the coins are tiny. But if you are already at the cliffs on an autumn windy night with a bagel on the line, it is an easy catch that adds XP while you wait for something better.
