Scalloped Hammerhead guide

Scalloped Hammerhead is an Exotic shark of Castaway Cliffs, caught on Fish Head bait on Clear Summer days, during the day. The in-game text calls it a majestic predator patrolling the open seas. It is among the heaviest fish in the list, with real money in its size.

It weighs 3,700 to 36,220 kg, averaging 7,000 kg, and pays only C$1.20 per kg, yet the bulk brings an average value of C$8,500. It grants 8,000 base XP. Its average value ranks 137th of the 742 documented fish, and its maximum weight is 66th of 663, which puts it in the top fifth for value and the top tenth for size.

Castaway Cliffs sells Rainbow Cluster Rod, so you can buy a rod in the zone.

My advice: if you can fish Castaway Cliffs in Summer daylight with Fish Head, this is a worthwhile target. The 8,000 XP will do more for your level than a pile of cheap fish, and a heavy specimen near the upper end of the weight range can pay several times the average. Sell it for coin if you are saving for gear, or keep chasing the big ones.
