Mourning Manta Ray guide
Mourning Manta Ray belonged to the Frightful Village event area and is now unobtainable, flagged by the wiki as Limited. It required Sour Gummy Worm bait, Windy weather and the Autumn season, a trio that explains why it was a seasonal rather than everyday catch.
Even without weight data, its worth is clear. It sold at C$12 per kg and averaged C$12,000, which ranks 113th of 742 documented fish, so it sat in the top sixth. Base XP was 6,000. The in-game description is a lighthearted line about the ray having been through some things and hoping it recovers.
In its zone it shared the Limited tier with Candle Carp, Coffin Crab, Ectoplasm Eel, Frankenshrimp, Frightful Crate and Gravestone Stingray. That is a crowded pool, so landing the manta specifically depended on weather and bait rather than on luck alone.
Verdict: if you kept one, it is a respectable collectible and a fair sale at roughly C$12,000. If you are looking for it now, there is no route given, so spend your time elsewhere. Seasonal event fish like this one are best remembered as snapshots of past content rather than goals.
