Candy Cane Rod review
Winter Village sold the Candy Cane Rod for C$1,500, but it is not obtainable today, so treat this page as a record of what it was. It is a festive rod: its passive gives every fish a 10% chance to be Festive.
On paper it is a weak tool. Luck is 25, Lure Speed is 10, Control is 0.01, Resilience is -2 and the maximum weight is 150 kg. A negative Resilience is unusual and means the rod gives up a little stability when you fight a fish, and 150 kg is a low ceiling for anything big.
The comparison in the data is blunt. Several rods with equal or higher Luck cost far less: Friendly Rod (Luck 105, C$0), Mission Specialist's Rod (Luck 60, C$0) and Original No-Life Rod (Luck 100, C$1). So even when it was on sale, you paid C$1,500 mostly for the Festive chance, not for performance.
If you still own it, it makes sense as a themed rod for seasonal mutation fishing and as a keepsake. If you are choosing a rod to progress with, skip it: it is gone, and the cheaper rods listed above beat it on Luck by a wide margin.
