Carbon Rod review
Carbon Rod is one of the cheapest things you can buy in Moosewood: C$2,000. It is a plain stick with no passive and no requirements, described as stiff, strong and easier to handle than other rods but slightly shorter.
The numbers are honest about its place. 25 Luck ranks 171st of 184 obtainable rods, and Lure Speed of -10 ranks 180th of 184, so bites come slowly. Control of 0.05 is 112th of 185, Resilience of 10 is 129th, and the 600 kg limit sits 97th of 117. In short, it is bottom-tier on speed and luck, and middling on handling.
Better value exists even at no cost. Friendly Rod (105 Luck, C$0), Mission Specialist's Rod (60 Luck, C$0) and Original No-Life Rod (100 Luck, C$1) all have more Luck for less. At the same shop you will also find Flimsy Rod, Fast Rod, Crew Rod, Lucky Rod and Long Rod.
My recommendation is blunt: skip it unless you want a stable, easy-to-control rod for a specific reason. For nearly everyone, the free or near-free options listed above are a better first move, and Fast Rod fits the same shop if bite speed matters to you.
