Rod Of Time review
AFK Mines is where Rod Of Time lives, and the name suggests exactly what it is for: slow, passive fishing while you are away from the keyboard. The wiki lists no price, no passive and no quote, so the stats are all there is to go on, and they are among the lowest in the game.
Luck of 25 ranks 171st of 184 obtainable rods, and Lure Speed of 20 is 161st. Control of 0.05 is 112th of 185, and Resilience of 20 is 77th, which is its best showing and still only average. The weight cap of 2,500 kg is 83rd of 117 rods that list one.
So this is a rod for time rather than skill. Bites are slow and the catches are not likely to be rare, which matches the AFK idea: nothing about it rewards active play, and nothing about it risks much either. The Resilience figure at least means the line should hold up against ordinary fish while you are not watching.
Verdict: use it if you specifically want to fish in the AFK Mines and do not mind low returns. For any session where you are actually playing, nearly every other obtainable rod will give you more fish and better rarity. Treat the Rod Of Time as a convenience tool, not an upgrade.
