North Pole

North Pole is crafted rather than bought: its cost is listed as Crafting Ingredients, and the zone is Ancient Archives. It requires a minimum level and carries a passive. Its description ties it to Fischmas and calls it a mercilessly precise rod built for mastery with freezing strength.

Middle-of-the-road stats define it. Luck of 177 ranks 59th of 184 obtainable rods, and Lure Speed of 90 is 43rd of 184. Resilience of 25 sits 62nd of 184, and Control of 0 is 141st of 185, so handling is basic despite the "precise" wording of its flavor text.

That is an important caveat. If you were hoping for a rod with fine control, the numbers say otherwise. What you get is solid speed, decent Luck and a passive in return for gathering ingredients instead of spending C$.

The same zone also sells Anchor n' Chain, Elder Mossripper, Dead Man's Rod, Cupid's Embrace and Lucid Rod, so you have alternatives close by. Go for North Pole if you already have the ingredients or want the Fischmas theme. If you need Control, check the other rods in that list before crafting.
