The Lost Rod review
Ancient Archives is where you craft The Lost Rod, and like its neighbors it has a level requirement. What sets it apart is a streak mechanic: after 6 Perfect Catches in a row, it enters a special mode that boosts its Luck by 150% for the next 3 casts.
Base numbers are modest. Luck 90 ranks 115th of 184 obtainable rods, Lure Speed 45 is 139th, Control 0.08 is 103rd of 185, and Resilience 20 is 77th. The 55,000 kg limit is the better stat, 44th of 117.
That profile tells you who it is for. If your reel timing is clean enough to chain six perfect catches, the burst window gives you three casts of much higher effective Luck. If you miss often, you are using a below-average rod most of the time.
The same Ancient Archives list also has Anchor n' Chain, Elder Mossripper, Dead Man's Rod, Cupid's Embrace and Lucid Rod, worth checking before you commit materials.
Verdict: a skill rod. Craft it if consistency is your strength, skip it if you want steady stats.
