The guardian sleeps next to the nest; the faster you are, the easier it is to outrun it. Bigger eggs are worth more but slow you down. Eggs & guardians

Cosmic Dragon guide

Cosmic Dragon Egg facts
- Biome: Cosmic, 9th in the biome order
- Speed to enter: 700M
- Guardian: Cosmic Skeleton
- Grow time: 3 hours
- Hatch reward: +1.4m Speed and $6b
- Base weight: 15,000 kg
Choosing between Cosmic's Secret eggs
Next to the Cosmic Skeleton Boss ($45M/s, 2h 30min, +1.6m Speed), the Dragon trades half an hour of extra growth and a little less Speed for a third more income and $1.5b more cash at hatch. Since a pet keeps earning long after its single hatch reward is spent, the Dragon is the stronger long-term pick if income is your goal.
The $6b reward is double the price of The Freeze Treadmill (3B) and a meaningful share of the Lucky Block Treadmill (75B, +200 Speed per step).
Rankings
It is 3rd of 8 in Cosmic, counting from the highest earner; 22 of the 35 Secret pets and 72 of the 198 pets overall earn more, and Mawbreaker ties it at $60M/s.
Weight is heavier here
Its 15,000 kg base weight is fifteen times the Skeleton Boss's 1,000 kg. The wiki notes that larger eggs slow you down as you carry them, so a big Cosmic Dragon Egg is a slower escape from the guardian. In return, estimates from the wiki's documented formula (beta on the wiki) show what size can do:
- Golden: about $150M/s
- Rainbow: about $210M/s
- 10× base weight: about $248M/s
- 100× base weight: about $1.03B/s
- 200× base weight: about $1.42B/s
- Rainbow with 100× weight: about $3.59B/s
At 100× weight, a Cosmic Dragon would outearn an unmutated Eternal Lunar Dragon several times over.
