Prehistoric is the zone where the guardian and one of the prizes share a name: the T-Rex patrols the nests, and the T-Rex Egg is one of the two Secret eggs you can carry out of them.
A Secret egg on a 2h 30m timer
To reach it you need 18M Speed, the requirement for Prehistoric, the 8th biome. Once stolen, the egg grows for 2 hours 30 minutes and then pays +420k Speed and $2.5b. The pet itself earns $25M/s.
That timer is the main thing to plan around. Starting a T-Rex Egg before a break and filling other slots with short eggs such as the Pterodactyl (3 minutes) keeps your pen productive while it grows.
