Mawbreaker guide
A Rift twin of the Cosmic Dragon
Mawbreaker earns $60M/s, exactly what Cosmic Dragon earns in the Cosmic biome. Both are Secret. The two routes could hardly be more different, though:
- Cosmic Dragon is stolen from a biome nest. The wiki lists a 3-hour grow time and a hatch reward of +1.4m Speed and $6b.
- Mawbreaker comes from the Rift. The wiki lists no grow time or reward for its egg.
That Speed reward is part of why biome eggs matter for progression: Speed is what lets you outrun the guardians of the next biome. A Rift pet with the same income does not document that bonus, so if the Speed matters to you right now, the nest route has the edge.
Getting Mawbreaker
The wiki places Mawbreaker among the Rift's 16 pets, 6th by income. The permanent Rift in the lobby asks for 3 random pets and returns one exclusive Rift Egg; three banners rotate every 3 hours, synchronized across servers, and each has five exclusive animals. The wiki does not say which banner holds Mawbreaker. Pity carries over between sessions and banner changes, per the Rift FAQ.
Update 6 replaced the Rift Trade-In Machine with Dr. Scramble's Laboratory. The Rift page still describes the sacrifice without saying whether it changed.
Ranking and estimates
Mawbreaker is 23rd of 35 Secret pets (tied with Cosmic Dragon) and four times Wendigo, the Rift Secret below it. Shardwing at $145M/s is the only Rift Secret above it.
With the wiki's formula and a listed base weight of 13,000 kg, a Golden Mawbreaker would earn about $150M/s and a Rainbow about $210M/s. A 10× weight roll comes to roughly $248M/s, 100× to about $1.03B/s and 200× to about $1.42B/s. A Rainbow at 100× weight works out near $3.59B/s.
