The Axe Trim Kit is a one-time-use item that can be used to upgrade an Axe's damage. To use an Axe Trim Kit, you simply have to equip an Axe of your choice and interact with the kit. Upgraded Axes will have parts of them turned into gold and will deal more damage to entities and trees. Note: The Ice Axe and Obsidiron Hammer cannot be trimmed.

The process mirrors the armour version: equip the axe you want to improve, interact with the kit, and the weapon turns partly gold to signal its boosted output.
It is crafted at the Meteor Anvil, marking it as a mid-to-late-game project once you have the resources and station access. Note one restriction before you commit: the Ice Axe and the Obsidiron Hammer cannot be trimmed, so plan to use the kit on a standard, upgrade-eligible axe. Is it worth crafting?
