Alarm Clock

Guaranteed copies of the Alarm Clock sit at Door 49 (the Library entrance) and in The Library at Door 50 in The Hotel, plus the room right before Jeff's Shop in The Mines. Containers in The Mines can hold more. It has no shop price, and it arrived with the Shears in The Mines Update.

Its job is to move Figure. You wind it up, place it down, and 10 seconds later it rings; Figure runs to it and stomps it flat, then goes back to roaming. You can pick it up again before that happens. While held, the clock shows the current time, which helps you keep track of Dread in places without wall clocks, such as The Greenhouse, and the wiki says it also tells you when Drones will rush in The Archives.

Limits

• It is only useful against Figure, Dread, Sally, Drones and Louie.
• Place it carelessly and you can pull Figure toward yourself.
• You can carry just one.
• Inside a subfloor its hands do not move, because Dread cannot spawn there; The Archives is the exception.
• Figure will not go for it if you place it in the Rift area at Door 100.
