Tip Jar

The Tip Jar is Jeff's donation jar, and picking it up gets you nothing: holding it shows "It's clearly empty...", and pressing the use button does nothing. Its value comes later, in Guiding Light's Rift, where it transforms into the Rift Jar.

It is a semi-transparent empty jar with a white label that reads "TipƧ", likely because Jeff cannot write properly. You can only hold one at a time.

How to get one

• The Abandoned Shop Mid-Run Rift room in The Hotel always contains a Tip Jar.
• Louie can drop it. The odds are 22.22% when you use a Crucifix on him, 20% for Bread, Cheese, a Lighter, a Candle or a Straplight, and 16.66% for a Glowstick.
• The Prize Inside candy and the Free Item event of Random Events give a small chance, and the Admin Panel can spawn it.

A bit of history

Added technically in The Hunt Update, it could only be taken through an exploit while Jeff's Shop was closed. Before The Mines Update, a Tip Jar left in the rift turned into the Evil Dollar. It is the third item that can be transformed in the Rift for the "Lost In Translation" achievement, after the Candle and the Smoothie.
