Ancient Eel guide

For a Legendary, the Ancient Eel asks a lot of timing. It lives in The Depths, bites only at Night in Spring or Summer, and wants Coal on the hook. Nothing is listed for weather, so that is one less thing to wait on.

Its numbers are strong. An average catch weighs 150 kg and the max reaches 572 kg, ranking 186th of 663 by weight. At C$7.50 per kg it averages C$1,125 per fish, 315th of 742 by average value, so it is firmly in the upper half. Base XP is 350.

If you are fishing there anyway, expect company: Nautilus and Small Spine Chimera are the other Legendary fish in the same zone. And you do not have to leave to upgrade, because The Depths sells the Rod Of The Depths and the Onirifalx.

The wiki describes a long, snake-like eel with glowing patterns and a menacing presence.

Verdict: worth a night session if you already have Coal and are in The Depths. Its 315th place by value means it sells better than most documented fish. Sell it, or keep one for a collection.
