Sparkling Corkfin

Sparkling Corkfin is one of the Limited fish tied to New Year's Pool, available in Winter and with no bait, time or weather conditions listed. It carries the same message as its pool-mates, "Cheers to 2026; Happy New Years!", and it can be caught at the moment.

Here is what it offers in practice. An average Corkfin weighs 2.5 kg, between 2 kg and 6.3 kg, with a maximum that ranks 513 of 663. Multiply that by about C$675.33 per kg and the average sale is C$1,688.3, which sits at 274 of 742 documented fish by average value. Base XP is 2,026. Its rarity is Limited, but it is not flagged as a limited release.

Five other Limited fish share the pool with it: Confetti Carp, Eonshell, Party Popperfish, Party Pufferfish and Sparkler Sardine. Once you notice the Corkfin and the Sardine have identical size, price and XP, it becomes clear that the two are simply alternate drops with the same payoff.

Practical advice: you do not need to choose which one to chase. Fish the pool in Winter, and whichever of the six shows up, treat it as roughly a C$1,700 catch. Sell the duplicates and keep only what you want for your collection.
