Confetti Carp guide
New Year's Pool is where the Confetti Carp appears, in Winter, and it is a Limited fish that is currently obtainable. No bait or weather is recorded, only the season. The wiki's one-liner is a toast to 2026, which explains the theme.
For a carp-sized fish, it pays well. It averages 2.5 kg (2 kg to 6.3 kg) and sells at C$675.333 per kg, so a typical catch is worth about C$1,688, 274th of the 742 documented fish. Its maximum weight is only 513th of 663, so weight is not the appeal. Base XP is 2,026, a number that clearly nods to the year.
Eonshell, Party Popperfish, Party Pufferfish, Sparkler Sardine and Sparkling Corkfin share its Limited rarity in the same pool, so the zone is a themed set. Because the carp is available now, the practical plan is to fish the pool during Winter, keep one for the collection and sell the rest. The coin value is decent and the XP is generous for its size, so it is a good target for a short session rather than a long grind, and it is best to go for it before the event window closes.
