Ruby Lionfish guide

Ruby Lionfish is a Legendary catch from Treasure Island, caught on Crystal Bananas bait. The in-game text describes a gleam from the sea's most coveted chests. The listing has no weight range, weather or season, so the bait and the island are all you need to plan around.

The price is the headline. It sells at C$160 per kg, giving an average value of C$2,400, with 1,880 base XP. Its average value ranks 245th of the 742 documented fish, so it falls in the upper third for money, and the XP is generous for a single fish.

Treasure Island sells Treasure Rod, which keeps the logistics simple: the rod and the fish live in the same place.

My verdict: if you are far enough along to fish Treasure Island, Ruby Lionfish is worth the bait. Crystal Bananas is the specific thing to bring, so check your inventory before you go, because nothing in the listing suggests another bait will work. Selling one lands a solid C$2,400, and the 1,880 XP is enough that you will feel it on your level bar. It is a better use of a cast than the cheaper fish you will meet around it.
