Gem Blobfish guide
If you want the best sale value on Treasure Island, start with Gem Blobfish. It is a Secret fish that takes Golden Shrimp Bait, with no restriction on time of day or season, and an average catch of 5.5 kg pays about C$44,000 at C$8,000 per kg.
That average value ranks 38th of the 742 documented fish, which is top-tier by any measure. Weight is another story: its 21 kg maximum puts it only 390th of 663, so this is a fish you sell for the price per kg, not one you brag about. Base XP is a hefty 5,000.
The Treasure Rod is sold in its zone, so the gear is close at hand. Verdict: worth chasing as soon as you can afford Golden Shrimp Bait, since the bait cost is small against a C$44,000 payout. Because it is not tied to a clock or season, you can hunt it whenever you happen to be on the island.
