Buttercup Quest Event — In-Depth Analysis
The Buttercup Quest Event, which premiered on January 24, 2026, is a daily-quest event built entirely around the Buttercup crop, and it introduced its own currency, Buttercup Coins, plus a line of Shadow Buttercup seeds. Because it is a limited-time asset, its value to your farm comes in bursts and is worth front-loading while the event is live.
Two NPCs split the reward structure: Brooklyn hands out Buttercup Coins, while Lizzy rewards the four-tier Shadow Buttercup seed ladder (Big, Bigger, Biggest, Beast). You complete quests by submitting Buttercups, and a key efficiency detail is that mutations changing a Buttercup's petal color to the required one still count toward the quest — so existing mutated stock can clear objectives without fresh planting.
For progression, the Coins funnel into Brooklyn's Buttercup Chest (with Exotic and Rainbow Exotic variants), and the event also seeds rare pets like the Blue Whale and Albino Peacock.
