Eyeball Crab guide
Eyeball Crab is the Secret of the Experimental Egg and one of the highest-earning Secrets in the game: at $825M/s it ties Ringlord, and only Skeletal Giant Sloth and Toxic Hedgehog earn more within its rarity.
The Experimental banner pays in big steps
Dr. Scramble's Laboratory replaced the Rift Trade-In Machine in Update 6. Its Experimental banner draws from Cosmic, Cherry Blossom and Titan Temple eggs, and the highest pets it asks for from Titan Temple are the Cosmics Mantaris ($11M/s) and Rhinotaur ($17.5M/s). An Eyeball Crab earns about 47 times a Rhinotaur. Update 6 also allows trading eggs in directly and made pity guarantee the top reward.
The Experimental Egg:
- Wheel Hamster, Mythic, $450K/s
- Stacked Turtle, Cosmic, $12M/s
- Three Headed Chicken, Cosmic, $165M/s
- Eyeball Crab, Secret, $825M/s
- Dreadstinger, Eternal, $2B/s
The wiki records no grow time or hatch reward.
Next to the egg's Eternal
Eyeball Crab sits at about 40% of Dreadstinger's $2B/s. A Golden roll changes that: at an estimated $2.06B/s, a Golden Eyeball Crab would edge past a plain Dreadstinger. Overall, 33 of 198 pets earn more than the plain crab.
Estimates
Base weight is 1,200 kg. With the formula the wiki documents:
- Golden: about $2.06B/s
- Rainbow: about $2.89B/s
- 10x base weight: about $3.41B/s
- 100x base weight: about $14.1B/s
- 200x base weight: about $19.6B/s
- Rainbow at 100x weight: about $49.4B/s
The Experiment Shop's Scrambled Mutation (475 Samples, x2.75, 10% chance per use) would bring it to roughly $2.27B/s, which also beats a plain Dreadstinger.
