The 8 Light pets
On an Angel night the zone is bright and the Light animals appear. They go from Legendary all the way up to Divine.

So the night you get does not change how much money a pet pays. It changes which pets you can steal. If you want a Darkness pet and it is an Angel night, you wait for the zone to flip.
Which side is better to farm?
Because base incomes match, the choice comes down to what you want:
- You want to fuse. The Secret Shrine needs one Light pet and its Darkness partner of the same rarity. Pegasus plus Skeleton Horse makes Equinox, and ArchAngel plus World Burner makes Aetheron. You need both nights. Our Secret Shrine guide has the recipes and the income math.
- You want the best reward from an egg. The wiki lists egg rewards in Speed and cash for some of these pets. Pegasus gives +200m Speed and $140b, while Skeleton Horse gives +200M Speed and $130B. The difference is small.
- You want a cheap start. The Legendary pets, Light Dove and Flame Sprite, both list $225K/s and a 5 minute grow time, so they are the easy entry on either night.
Egg weight: why the big ones are slow
Eggs carry weight, and heavy eggs slow you down.
