The guardian sleeps next to the nest; the faster you are, the easier it is to outrun it. Bigger eggs are worth more but slow you down. Eggs & guardians

Gargoyle guide
The Gargoyle opens the Secret tier of Angels & Demons at $225M/s, nine times the zone's best Cosmic pets. Its egg is one of the few in the zone with a documented grow time: 3 hours.
Gargoyle Egg data
- Biome: Angels & Demons, 12th in the biome order
- Speed requirement: 20B
- Zone guardians: ArchAngel, World Burner and Aetheron
- Grow time: 3 hours
- Hatch reward: +30m Speed and $22.5b
- Base weight: 10,000 kg
Same clock as Mutant Shark, much more Speed
The previous zone's Secret, the Mutant Shark, also grows in 3 hours and earns $215M/s, only slightly less than the Gargoyle. The real difference is the hatch: the Gargoyle pays +30m Speed against the Mutant Shark's +4.1m, roughly seven times as much, with similar cash ($22.5b against $21.5b).
So if you already own a Mutant Shark, a Gargoyle adds little in income per pet, but each egg is a far bigger Speed boost. The $22.5b also covers the Galaxy Trail (20B, 5×).
Twin and tier
The Pure Jellyfish matches the Gargoyle on income, reward and base weight. Since the zone flips every night between an Angel theme and a Demon theme with separate pet sets, the two may not be available together. Above them sit the Centaur and RazorFang at $350M/s.
