The Laboratory egg behind it
Update 6 replaced the Rift Trade-In Machine with Dr. Scramble's Laboratory, adding three banners and 15 new pets. The Unstable Egg's five pets (Frogfly, Spiderpig, Sharkodile, Rhinobear and Octophant) line up with the Laboratory's Unstable DNA banner, the pool that draws from Cosmic, Cherry Blossom, Titan Temple and Angels & Demons eggs.
Under the reworked system you trade in eggs directly instead of hatching them and handing over the pets, and the Laboratory asks for eggs tied to whichever banner is active. The same update buffed pity: reaching it now guarantees the top reward instead of a random top-3 prize. The notes do not name each banner's top reward, so the wiki does not confirm whether pity can land on Rhinobear.
