The guardian sleeps next to the nest; the faster you are, the easier it is to outrun it. Bigger eggs are worth more but slow you down. Eggs & guardians

How Snake compares

Snake guide
Half the wait of the Axolotl, more income
The Snake is the Legendary of the Desert, earning $3.6K/s and ranking 17th of 21 Legendaries and 164th of 198 overall. Its egg grows in 2 minutes 30 seconds, exactly half the 5-minute timer used by the Lake's Axolotl and the Forest's Brr Brr Patapim, yet it earns about 30% more than the Axolotl and double the Patapim.
It is not the same pet as the King Snake, which is the Jungle's Secret-rarity pet at $3.5M/s.
Snake Egg reward
Each hatch pays +10.8k Speed and $360k. The Speed is useful for the jump to Jungle, which needs 40K:
- Four Snake eggs: 43,200 Speed in ten minutes of growing
- Two Snakes plus two Tob Tobi Tob Tob: 41,400
- One Snake plus three Camels: 37,800, one Jerboa short
Because two Snake eggs fit inside one 5-minute nest reset, the Snake is the most practical Legendary to keep cycling while you work toward Jungle.
How long a plain Snake lasts
Jungle's Legendaries edge past it: Gorilla at $4.8K/s with a 2-minute egg, and Orangutini Ananassini at $5.5K/s with the same 2:30 egg. A plain Snake is therefore a one-biome pet, but a mutated one holds up better.
Mutation and size estimates
The base weight is 45 kg. From the formula the wiki documents:
- Golden: about $9K/s
- Rainbow: about $12.6K/s
- 10 times base weight: about $14.9K/s
- 100 times base weight: about $61.6K/s
- 200 times base weight: about $85.3K/s
- Rainbow at 100 times base weight: about $216K/s
A Golden Snake already earns more than any plain Legendary in the first four biomes.
