Steal an Egg Titan Temple: 8 Pets, Hungry Frog, Monsters

Guide
By RBLXGUIDESunday, October 11, 20267 min read

Quick Summary

The 8 Titan Temple pets with weights and rewards, the Hungry Frog parasite event, the Monster Egg's 6 monsters and their Mecha forms, and what is unconfirmed.

Titan Temple is the biome from Update 2, and that update also brought two other things that people search for: the Monster Egg and the Hungry Frog event. Together they are one of the strangest early updates in Steal an Egg. This guide lists the 8 temple pets with their rewards, explains the Hungry Frog steps, shows the 6 monsters and their Mecha versions, and tells you what is still unclear.

The pets run from two Legendary spiders and crabs, Spideron and Crustacia, up to the Divine Nightflame at $3B/s. Gorilla King is the Eternal at $880M/s and Mutant Shark is the Secret at $215M/s.

Egg weight and rewards

The temple's eggs get heavy very quickly. Here are the weights, the egg rewards and the grow times from the wiki data:

PetRarityBase incomeEgg weightSpeed rewardCash rewardGrow time
SpideronLegendary$95K/s600+2.7m$13m4m
CrustaciaLegendary$130K/s1,000+2.7m$13m6m
BladehideMythic$750K/s1,700+4.8m$75m9m
MantarisCosmic$11M/s1,500+3.4m$1.1b17m

Gorilla KingEternal$880M/s100,000+5.4m$88b9h
NightflameDivine$3B/s160,000+6.8M$300B16h

Spideron weighs 600 and Nightflame weighs 160,000. That is a 260 times jump, and it explains why the Divine egg is slow to carry. A heavy egg slows you down, so only go for Gorilla King or Nightflame when your path home is clear. Egg rewards also grow: the Divine gives +6.8M Speed and $300B, but takes 16 hours to grow.

The Monster Egg

Update 2 added a new Monster Egg, sold in the Robux Store. The patch notes promise 6 new monsters to hatch, and every monster has a rare Mecha variant. The wiki's own page for the Monster Egg says it was a limited egg you bought in the shop with Robux, and the shop page says the egg changed every two weeks. So treat it as a limited purchase, not a normal drop.

Here are the six monsters and their Mecha forms from the pet data:

MonsterBase incomeMecha versionMecha income
Scorpio$10K/sMecha Scorpio$45M/s
Froggo$50K/sMecha Froggo$155M/s
Crawler$1.5M/sMecha Crawler$320M/s

Krakenoid$500M/sMecha Krakenoid$1B/s
Dreadscale$2B/sMecha Dreadscale$4B/s

Dreadscale: Monster, $2B/s

The Mecha version always pays more than its normal monster. Mecha Dreadscale reaches $4B/s, double the $2B/s of Dreadscale. The wiki lists the Mecha forms under a separate Mecha Egg. For the other special eggs, read the special eggs guide.

The Hungry Frog event

The Hungry Frog is a small event with a clear loop. From the Update 2 notes:

  1. 1Find an infected egg. Parasites have started attaching themselves to eggs across the world.
  2. 2Bring it back to your base.
  3. 3Feed its parasite to the Hungry Frog.

Collect 5 parasites and you earn a Monster Chest. The notes say Monster Chests have a rare chance of containing the new limited-time Monstrous Mutation, which the notes describe as being for monsters from Titan Temple.

Parasite and Monstrous: what we know

The wiki's mutation list has a Parasite mutation at x3. It says Parasite does not come from normal hatch rolls: it comes from its own dedicated Parasite Egg, obtained through the feeding event. That is higher than Golden (x2.5) and lower than Rainbow (x3.5).

The Monstrous Mutation is mentioned only in the Update 2 notes. The wiki has no multiplier for it, so we do not list one. We also do not know if the Monster Chest can still be earned today. If you want the full picture of every mutation and how multipliers stack, open the mutations guide.

What is not confirmed

  • The exact drop rate of the Monstrous Mutation in a Monster Chest. The notes only say "rare".
  • Which pet the Parasite Egg hatches.
  • Whether the Hungry Frog event is running now. The patch notes do not give a repeat time, unlike the 30 minute events.
  • The Robux price of the Monster Egg, and whether it will come back to the store after it rotated out, because the wiki only says it was limited.

Titan Temple eggs and the Laboratory

The temple pets are also useful after you outgrow them. In Dr. Scramble's Laboratory, the Experimental and Unstable DNA banners both ask for Titan Temple pets: Crustacia, Spideron, Bladehide, Mantaris and Rhinotaur. The cheap Legendary and Mythic ones are the easiest to collect for a trade-in, so do not throw them away.

A simple plan for Titan Temple

  1. 1Reach 7B Speed. The zone is closed before that.
  2. 2Start with the light eggs: Spideron, Crustacia, Bladehide and Mantaris all weigh under 2,000.
  3. 3Treat Rhinotaur (35,000) as a mid weight, and Gorilla King and Nightflame as heavy.
  4. 4If you see an infected egg, take it to your base, because it feeds the Hungry Frog.
  5. 5Keep an eye on the update log for changes to the Monster Egg.

Key Takeaways

  • Steal eggs from guarded nests, hatch them in your pen and let your pets earn cash every second.
  • Train Speed on treadmills to reach farther biomes with rarer eggs.
  • Mutations and a pet's size multiply how much it earns.
  • Events like the Rift give rewards you can't get from regular nests.
