Description
Sanguine Art is one of the fighting styles in Blox Fruits — a class of melee martial arts that runs parallel to swords and devil fruits and lets you fight with weapon-style melee even while a fruit is on cooldown. Every Blox Fruits build runs exactly one fighting style, so picking the right one is one of the most important decisions a player makes after level 700. Fighting styles split into three buckets: PvP-oriented bursters (e.g. Godhuman, Sharkman Karate), sustain styles (Sanguine Art with its lifesteal), and grinding styles (Electric Claw with its AoE). Sanguine Art fits its role inside this meta and is best paired with a sword and fruit that complement its damage profile. Mastery xp on Sanguine Art comes from M1s and skill landings; max mastery unlocks the full kit including the iconic Z and X moves that define the style's PvP role. Sanguine Art is obtained via: Shafi — Tiki Outpost. Most Sanguine Art combos start with a long-range fruit move to lock the enemy in stun, transition into a sword swap for the M1 ramp, then finish with the style's hardest-hitting skill. The exact framing depends on your fruit awakening level, but the core principle — fruit stun → sword filler → fighting-style finisher — is universal across most B+ tier loadouts.
Moves & Abilities
4 movesThe user summons dark red energy, first doing a slash to the left with right hand, a slash to the right with left hand, then doing a double slash with both hands, ending with a forward blast of darkness. These M1s have moderate range, with the 4th M1 having slightly more range. The click speed is very fast, similar to Water Kung Fu's. If it is paired with Buddha, it will have greatly increased range.
The user propels themself towards the cursor, traveling short-medium distance. If an enemy is in the way, the user almost immediately grabs them by their neck and unleashes bat-like creatures on them that heal the user as they deal damage, before knocking them away. If hit, this move heals 20% of the user's health, even if the enemy dodges this attack with Instinct. If the enemy is further away in the path of the move, the user will travel around 1.6x farther than normal. This move is similar to Shadow .
The user launches six claw-like slashes towards the cursor (similar to [[Dragon
The user fires a dark-red, leech-like blast toward the cursor. This move has two distinct variations depending on how it is used. * If hit: ** The user grabs the enemy and pulls them in, and then summons five energy balls to spawn around the enemy and then attack them. It also splits into more "Leeches" based on how many enemies are getting hit. This skill can disable the enemy's [[Dashing
Trivia
10- 1
The first part of the name “Sanguine Art” derives from the Latin word sanguis, meaning “blood,” and in literary and heraldic usage denotes denotes “blood-red”, reflecting the style’s aesthetic.
- 2
Sanguine Art is the first fighting style to have a life-stealing move. ([Z] move - Bloodbane Drain)
- 3
Likewise, the bats can damage large objects (Such as Sea Beasts), but it does not restore the user's health or grab. In simple words, the life leech ability simply doesn't work on them.
- 4
Additionally, this move features aim assist that enables the user to grab enemies within the attack path directly ahead, provided they are at a close enough distance. This effectively extends the range for grabbing enemies to approximately 1.6 times farther along the straight line in front of the move.
- 5
The [C] move is a multi-target AoE move, meaning it can grab multiple targets at the same time if directly used.
- 6
Even if it misses, it can still track multiple enemies.
- 7
Sanguine Art has the fastest M1 speed of any fighting style.
- 8
Sanguine Art has the highest [C] move damage of any fighting style in the game.
- 9
The player is not required to have mastery on any other fighting style to learn Sanguine Art. It is possible to learn even if the user is still using Combat.
- 10
Haunted Crew Member, Red Commander, and Ghost's move [V] Ghost Busters NPCs (Ghost NPCs only when the user has Sanguine Art equipped) are the only NPCs/enemies in the game that uses this fighting style.
