Description

Sanguine Art is a blood-themed fighting style purchased from Shafi at Tiki Outpost, placing it among the higher-tier melee options available in the Third Sea. Like all fighting styles it scales with the Melee stat, requires no Devil Fruit, and builds mastery by landing its skills in combat. Its four moves — Vampiric Slashes, Bloodbane Drain, Scarlet Tear, and Devourer of Worlds — lean into a predatory, sustain-heavy kit that appeals to players who want aggressive close-range pressure. The drain-focused naming suggests a style built around staying in the fight rather than bursting from a distance. Sanguine Art sits alongside Godhuman as one of the stronger PvP and grinding choices in the late game, making the trip to Tiki Outpost worth the investment for players pushing high-level content.

Moves & Abilities

4 moves
TAP
Vampiric Slashes

The user summons dark red energy, first doing a slash to the left with right hand, a slash to the right with left hand, then doing a double slash with both hands, ending with a forward blast of darkness. These M1s have moderate range, with the 4th M1 having slightly more range. The click speed is very fast, similar to Water Kung Fu's. If it is paired with Buddha, it will have greatly increased range.

Z
Bloodbane Drain
Mastery 125

The user propels themself towards the cursor, traveling a short-medium distance. If an enemy is in the way, the user almost immediately grabs them by their neck and unleashes bat-like creatures on them which heal the user as they deal damage, before knocking them away. If hit, this move heals 20% of the user's total health, even if the enemy dodges this attack with Instinct. If the enemy is further away in the path of the move, the user will travel around 1.6x farther than normal. This move is similar to Shadow .

X
Scarlet Tear
Mastery 250

The user launches six claw-like slashes towards the cursor (similar to Dragon

C
Devourer of Worlds
Mastery 350

The user fires a dark-red, leech-like blast toward the cursor. This move has two distinct variations depending on how it is used. * If hit: ** The user grabs the enemy and pulls them in, and then summons five energy balls to spawn around the enemy and then attack them. It also splits into more "Leeches" based on how many enemies are getting hit. This skill can disable the enemy's Dashing

Trivia

10
  1. 1

The first part of the name “Sanguine Art” derives from the Latin word sanguis, meaning “blood,” and in literary and heraldic usage denotes denotes “blood-red”, reflecting the style’s aesthetic.

  2. 2

Sanguine Art is the only fighting style to have a life-stealing move. ([Z] move - Bloodbane Drain)

  3. 3

Likewise, the bats can damage large objects (Such as Sea Beasts), but it does not restore the user's health or grab. In simple words, the life leech ability simply doesn't work on them.

  4. 4

Additionally, this move features aim assist that enables the user to grab enemies within the attack path directly ahead, provided they are at a close enough distance. This effectively extends the range for grabbing enemies to approximately 1.6 times farther along the straight line in front of the move.

  5. 5

The [C] move is a multi-target AoE move, meaning it can grab multiple targets at the same time if directly used.

  6. 6

Even if it misses, it can still track multiple enemies.

  7. 7

Sanguine Art and Water Kung Fu possess the fastest M1 attack speed among all fighting styles.

  8. 8

Sanguine Art has the highest [C] move damage of any fighting style in the game.

  9. 9

The player is not required to have mastery on any other fighting style to learn Sanguine Art. It is possible to learn even if the user is still using Combat.

  10. 10

Haunted Crew Member, Red Commander, and Ghost's move [V] Ghost Busters NPCs (Ghost NPCs only when the user has Sanguine Art equipped) are the only NPCs/enemies in the game that uses this fighting style.

Sanguine Art — In-Depth Analysis

## What Is Sanguine Art?

Sanguine Art is Blox Fruits' dedicated lifesteal fighting style, obtained from Shafi at Tiki Outpost in the Third Sea for 5,000,000 Beli and 5,000 fragments. Introduced in Update 20, it holds the distinction of being one of the newest high-tier styles and the only one built around the lifesteal mechanic — recovering your own HP as you deal damage. That single trait reshapes how you approach both PvP and extended boss fights.

## Role: Sustain and Survivability

Where Godhuman is a pure burst style and Electric Claw specializes in grinding speed, Sanguine Art carves out a unique niche as the survivability option. The lifesteal on its moves lets you trade hits in ways other styles cannot afford, making it especially effective in drawn-out fights against bosses or aggressive PvP opponents who expect to outlast you. It pairs particularly well with builds that invest in both Melee and HP stats, leaning into the sustain identity.

- Strengths: Unique lifesteal mechanic; strong in sustained fights; excellent for boss hunting where you take repeated hits - Weaknesses: High cost (Beli + fragments); Sea 3 exclusive; requires materials to unlock (3 materials documented); lifesteal is less effective when enemies don't deal meaningful damage back

Tip: Sanguine Art's sustain advantage shines brightest against Sea Beasts and boss fights where the fight lasts longer than a single burst window — pair it with a high-HP stat allocation to maximize the effective heal per skill use.
