Description
Unlike other races handed out through random rerolls, Cyborg must be earned. You need to run the Order raid using a Fist of Darkness, defeat the raid boss to get a Core Brain (a rare drop), then rerun the raid to slot that Core Brain into the machine — unlocking a hidden staircase where you can purchase the race for 2,500 Fragments. The upfront effort means most players who run Cyborg chose it deliberately rather than landing on it by luck. Cyborg's identity is built around energy: its base passives convert a portion of incoming damage into energy and provide flat damage reduction, making it naturally durable for drawn-out fights. Awakening through the V2 Flower Quest and into V3 expands this into offensive territory, with an Energy Core ability that deals area damage and breaks Instinct. At V4, obtained via the Race Awakening puzzle in the Third Sea, Cyborg gains a modular "Gear" system that lets players customize their loadout, alongside improved aerial mobility and an aura with crowd-control effects — making it one of the more flexible race options for PvP.

Trivia
10- 1
The damage reduction from Cyborg V2 (10%) and V3 (30%) combined is 37% (not 40%).
- 2
The Cyborg V4 Energy Control Jump (Both UP and Non-Up) works in Buddha Transformation and Shift(v2).
- 3
Sometimes the jump in V4 can glitch in Buddha form causing you to get the jump again while in air.
- 4
There is a common misconception that Cyborg's v3 makes combos impossible to Instinct trick, this is untrue, as the damage ticks on cyborg are usually too slow.
- 5
The Cyborg race, along with the Human race, are the only races that do not provide buffs to the user on V1.
- 6
The Cyborg V4 wings closely represent V1's wings from ULTRAKILL.
- 7
Cyborg's V3 ability was reworked to create lightning that deals continuous AoE damage, burns enemies over time, causing them to take a large amount of total damage and breaks Instinct when near. It also reduces damage taken by up to 30%. But it was nerfed shortly after release:
- 8
Lightning damage is now equal to 6.5% of the player's current level instead of 10%. Base damage before level-based bonus also reduced from 0.1 to 0 (reduces damage per tick by 35%).
- 9
The number of tick dots was reduced from 44 to 33.
- 10
Reduces the range of lightning damage, as well as the range of Instinct break. Lightning will now no longer break Instinct when the enemy is at the edge of the lightning AOE, meaning the enemy must be closer to break Instinct.

Cyborg — In-Depth Analysis
## What Cyborg Is and How to Get It
Cyborg is one of three quest-exclusive bloodlines in Blox Fruits. To unlock it you must complete the quest given by the Mysterious Scientist NPC, which requires obtaining a Fist of Darkness and solving an entire puzzle — making it notably harder and more expensive to acquire than the four spin-based starter races. That barrier is intentional: Cyborg is widely considered one of the strongest races for endgame PvP.
## Role, Strengths, and Weaknesses
Cyborg is built around offensive close-quarters combat and combo extension. Starting from V3, every ability carries offensive utility — Energy Core and Aftershock apply tick damage, while Energy Control transfers damage to enemies. A V2 passive keeps your energy bar nearly full, which synergizes perfectly with energy-hungry fruits like Phoenix. The ability to break Instinct and cancel held moves (like Dough V or Rubber C) mid-combo is its most punishing trait in 1vX scenarios.
The weaknesses are real: no movement buff (a Pilot Helmet helps patch this), no defense against fruit damage specifically, and all V4 abilities require a solid surface — so aerial fighters can punish you hard. Opponents who maintain distance also neutralize most of Cyborg's toolkit.
Tip: Use Cyborg's bonus damage to finish bosses or players with a low-mastery weapon — the damage scales off your level, not your weapon stat, letting you level side-weapons efficiently.
