Crayon Set guide
Crayon Set gives you a free item at the start of each floor: a random Uncommon, as long as an inventory slot is open, and Dandy's Shop exclusives are in the pool. The Uncommon items in the wiki data are Speed Candy (+25% walk and run speed for 5 seconds), Protein Bar (+150% Stamina regeneration for 15 seconds), Instructions (+100% extraction speed for 10 seconds while extracting), Extraction Speed Candy and Skill Check Candy (+25% chance for 15 seconds). So each floor hands you a small consumable you did not have to find.
The wiki notes that the Tape side is minor: using an Uncommon item pays 3 Tapes, which is little but constant, and it suits Toons that spend Tapes on abilities, such as Teagan, Sprout and Blot. It also helps with mastery quests that ask you to use items, since a free one arrives every floor.
The Research is on Twisted Scraps, a Rare Twisted that, like Goob's, is also required for Cardboard 'Armor'. It uses a ranged attack, so approaching for encounters carries risk. There is no Ichor price. Three of the five items are candies, a pairing Glazed Fondant Bag was built for, though that Trinket is no longer obtainable. It is available now.
